David Sneddon

David is the Managing Director for gTech Professional Services in EMEA. He first joined Google in 2011 where he spent 7 years in Large Customer Sales EMEA in a variety of roles until he joined gTech in February 2019.
Prior to joining gTech, David led the LCS division for the Central Europe region, the 2nd largest sales territory in Google after the US. He was responsible for all sales, deployment and account management for this region. In addition to this role, David also ran the International Growth team at Google, a group of people dedicated to working with customers to find new international markets for Google’s customers. This started from a handful of people in Dublin but is now active in 15 Google offices around the world and with well over 100 people around the world. Alongside this, he led the Google team in response to the European Union shopping fine, leading to the set up and running of the CSS team which was Google’s response to the EU actions. Finally, he is a board director of many Google EMEA entities and is also passionately committed to diversity/inclusion issues.
David graduated in 1993 with a BA from Birmingham University, UK, followed by an MBA from Dublin City University in 2001. He started his career in Ogilvy and Mather, the London wing of the global advertising agency, later moving to the sister company Mindshare UK in London and then in 1999 transferred to help to set up the Mindshare Ireland and GroupM office. After 15 years in advertising and media buying, he made the move to Google in April 2011. Born in the UK, he has made Dublin, Ireland his home since 1999.
