Prior to that he worked as a programmer in the financial sector of New York City and started his own mobile content project Unwiredtec, which he eventually sold to Mobile Messenger Australia, and moved to Sydney to manage a product line for the buyer. Under Max's management Aviasales received $10 million from iTech Capital in 2014, and was recognized by Forbes as one of the most expensive Russian Internet companies in 2020. Skift included Aviasales in the top 25 promising travel startups.
